Special Instructions for the Sound Crew

We feel the Sound Crews are vital to the success of the show and therefore we request the following:

1.    We like to start the sound check with drums (kick, snare, toms, hi-hat, etc.), bass guitar, guitar, keyboards, drum machine, guitar vocal, bass vocal, sax vocal, sax, keyboard vocal, drum vocal, wireless hand held vocal and timbales (if miked).

2.    The guitar player (stage right or mon. #1) usually wants only his vocal in his monitor.  Sometimes he would like a little guitar too.

3.    The bass player (center or mon. #2) would like all vocals, sax and little keyboards and drum machine.

4.    Sax player (stage left or mon. #3) would like all vocals, plenty of sax, some keyboards and drum machine.

5. Keyboard Player (stage extreme left or mon. #4) would like all vocals, plenty of keys and drum machine and some sax.

6. Drummer (mon. #5) would like all instruments and vocals with emphasis on his kick, snare, drum machine and bass guitar.

7. Once the monitors are set they are not to be adjusted unless asked.

8. If the house mix and monitors are not separated, please do not use the attenuators to adjust the house mix, this will affect the monitor mix.  Use the individual sliders to adjust the house blend.

9. All vocal microphones and the timbale microphone are never to be muted throughout the performance.  Due to the nature of our show we will provide mutable microphones for the drummer vocal, timbales and wireless hand held.

10. We prefer no effects on any of the instruments except the vocals and sax.  An adequate increase or decrease of effects with the tempo of the tune will be greatly appreciated.

11. We require an oldies mix with the vocals dominant, a nice drum & bass balance mixed in with the keyboards and guitar.  Occasionally a lead instrument might have to be brought up at your discretion.

Thanks for being part of the show.
